Derives a new rank condition which guarantees the arbitrary pole assignability of a given system by dynamic compensators of degree at most q. By using this rank condition the authors establish several new sufficiency conditions which ensure the arbitrary pole assignability of a generic system. The authors' proofs also come with a concrete numerical procedure to construct a particular compensator which assigns a given set of closed-loop poles. 830 IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON AUTOMATIC CONTROL, VOL. 41, NO. 6, JUNE 1996 utput Feedback Pole Placement with Dynamic Compensators Joachim Rosenthal, Senior Member, IEEE, and Xiaochang Alex Wang, Member, IEEE Abstract-In this paper we derive a new rank condition which guarantees the arbitrary Pole assignability of a given systemIn this paper we derive a new rank condition which guarantees the arbitrary Pole assignability of a given system rank condition we establish several new sufficiency conditions which ensure the arbitrary pole assignability of a generic system. Hasse Diagram and Dynamic Feedback of Linear Systems

The output feedback pole placement problem of linear systems with static or dynamic compensators belongs to the classical problems in control theory and many theoretical and numerical research papers were already devoted to this problem. Although the considered systems are linear, the problem requires the solution of an over determined system of quadratic polynomial equations. A lot of progress...

RAPPORT Output feedback pole placement with dynamic compensators

In this paper we derive a new rank condition which guarantees the arbitrary pole assignability of a given system by dynamic compensators of degree at most q. By using this rank condition we establish several new suuciency conditions which ensure the arbitrary pole assignability of a generic system. Our proofs also comes with a concrete numerical procedure to construct a particular compensator w...

On Decentralized Dynamic Pole Placement and Feedback Stabilization

In this paper we study the feedback control problem using an r-channel decentralized dynamic feedback control scheme. We will develop the theory in the behavioral framework. Using this framework we introduce an algebraic parameterization of the space of all possible feedback compensators having a bounded McMillan degree, and we show that this parameterization bas the structure of an algebraic v...

On Minimal Order Decentralized Output Feedback Pole Assignment Problems

We give a new sufficient condition for the arbitrary pole assignability of a system by decentralized dynamic compensators. Using such condition we are able to derive a new bound on the degrees of decentralized dynamic compensators so that the generic systems have the arbitrary pole assignability.

Reduced Sensitivity Solutions to Global Linearisation of the Pole Assignment Map

The problem of pole assignment, by static output feedback controllers has been tackled as far as solvability conditions and the computation of solutions when they exist by a powerful method referred to as global linearisation. This is based on asymptotic linearisation (around a degenerate point) of the pole placement map. The essence of the present approach is to reduce the multilinear nature o...
